Bonefish
General Info: Bonefish are considered by many to be the ultimate game fish. They are fast, fight extremely hard and are just difficult enough to catch that it makes for a challenging experience. Bonefish can be found on tropical sand flats across the world, and there are plenty of great places to chase these critters, from exclusive resorts on remote islands to popular vacation areas like Mexico, the Florida Keys and Hawaii. While having a guide certainly helps, a dedicated DIY angler on a family vacation can have plenty of success on their own walking the flats near their hotel or vacation rental.
Preferred Gear
Rods: 6-8 wt. Stiff, fast action to cut through the wind.

Reels: Large arbor, preferably with sealed drag (but not required).
