Overview:
- This pattern was designed by Randall Kaufmann, borrowing liberally from the Improved Sofa Pillow and Bucktail Caddis.
- The Stimulator has become one of the great dry fly attractor patterns worldwide.
- The hair wing and tail, and the two hackles give it plenty of floatation, add floatant and you can use this as a strike indicator while nymphing, or just add a small dropper fly to fish more than one feeding zone.
- Yellow and orange make great all-purpose searching patterns.
- All colors are great for salmonfly imitators and large caddis as well.
