Overview:
This pattern was designed by Doug Swisher for use in the Bitterroot River in Montana.
The Madam X quickly became a classic dry fly attractor pattern.
Could represent any number of food sources for fish including: hoppers, salmonflies, crickets, dragonflies, and cicadas.
Floats like a cork, easy to see and cast.
Try giving this fly a few timely strips over weedbeds to send huge fish into a striking frenzy not likely to be soon forgotten.
