Vermont is home to the famed Batten Kill. Famous for browns, brookies, and of course the location of Charles Orvis' development of his wooden fly rods and ventilated fly reel.
While the Battenkill is world famous, many may not know the Northen Kingdom of Vermont offers relatively uncrowded fishing for brookies, browns, landlock Atlantic Salmon and bass.
