Blake with a monster sea run brown trout caught on a Girdle Bug.
Blake Writes:
Here are some recent photos (March 2015) attesting to the success with your flies. Small hooks, big fish.

My wife's name, Helen, is used for our fishing purchases. My name is Blake. I'm an 82 yr old fly fisherman who uses your flies. I am now replenishing some of those flies that I used in Tierra del Fuego, at the southern tip of South America. This is where winds try to blow you into Antarctica. I can honestly attest to the effectiveness of your flies, their holding up in the most challenging of fights, the strength of their hooks, and the guides preferring them over their own. Oh, the browns really like them, too.

A very fresh sea run brown taken on a size 12 girdle bug from Big Y Flies. Carefully twitched on retrieve, making those rubber legs look so inviting, so the double numbered browns hit those double numbered nymphs. Thank you, Big Y. Oh yes, my hat was photographed more than any of the trout; the guides wanted to raffle it off. If you look carefully, you'll see the girdle bugs and some green machines, both killers there.
