Mr. Larsen,
My order arrive today and I couldn't have been more pleased. I added your site
to my favorites and will let my friends know about you. They're a little
reluctant to order flies on line but a Royal Wulff is a Royal Wulff no matter
where you but it. Not being an avoid fisherman if you put a Royal Wulff on
a table in front of me I couldn't tell you what was to save my life. Offering
different colors and sizes was a great help.
When I standing in the Madison River in Yellowstone this year I'll
remember where I bought these when I catch the big one. :-)

was recommended by a friend of mine who is a guide here in WNY. I am taking a
trip to C.O. in 3 weeks and needed some flies stat. I don't have the time to
tie them all or even have the resources to do so. Thank you so much for the
speediness of my order. I will be fishing the Blue river, Frying Pan River,
Taylor River, Gunnison River, Animas River and the San Juan River in my week roadtrip
from Denver to Durango. Should be a blast. I will def. use you guys for my fly

Hi Cameron,
Received the prince nymphs and if I need more
flies I definitely will let you know. I am very, very happy with the
quality of prince nymphs you sent.
Not much need for the prince nymphs here on the
beach in South Carolina right now, but we will be fishing the Smokey Mountains
for a week in June of this year and we have rented a cabin in West Yellowstone
MT, for a couple of weeks this September too. So they will get a
good workout in the streams around West Yellowstone and in the ones in the
Smokey mountains of North Carolina.
I have been spending a whole lot of time at my
vise tying flies for both trips: hoppers, hares ears, stone fly nymphs, Adams, PMD’s,
hair wing Rio Grande kings (my favorite fly for searching) and just didn’t have
the time to do the princes.
I am sure my wife and I will be releasing some
great fish and will send you pictures of them and the streams we fish on both
trips.

I know you probably get some complaints so I thought I
would express my appreciation for the terrific quality of the flies I have
received from you this Spring. Out of the several hundred flies I have received
from you, there were only two defective flies, one with a head unwrapping and
the other with a broken barb. I view this as outstanding quality assurance on
your part. Also, every order was correctly packed, no shortages or wrong sizes.
Kudos to the pickers and checkers. On top of that, the price can't be

KUDOS to you. I'm a veteran tyer who has gotten away from
trout patterns for probably 20 years. Recently I decided to tie some catskill
flies so when I go to visit my daughter at college I could take some time to sample the blue ribbon
waters in that region. After several moves and assorted household calamities my
supplys where not in the shape I had remembered. I started off with march
browns, only to remember my dubbing supply had been ruined in a fire sprinkler
mis hap.My cat than supplied the the make shift dubbing. Not knowing where my
pattern books were,I refered to the internet for a refresher of what a
hendrickson should looked like, and thats how I stumbled onto your web site.After
scrolling threw your extensive inventory and seeing how rediculusly low the
prices where, I knew there and then, that it didnt pay for me to resupply and
tie again.My only concern was the quality. Today I recieved my order,and very
quickly I might add,and I am thrilled with the quality of these flies. The
hackle is firm and the proportions are correct! flies in this price range are
generaly from China with oversized soft webby hackle that would be hard to fool
a bluegill with.Anyway I hope your business flurishes and I can continue to
access your opperation. In addition to dry flies, I also sampled some salt
water flies and some large mouth hair bugs, they all look spectacular.No
question that they are going to work...... cant wait for spring to give them a
try. thank for a cheap alternative to

doing business with Big Y Fly. I still enjoy tying and creating new
patterns, but your quality and prices have definitely freed up a good deal of
time that I used to dedicate to the tying bench. My most recent purchase
was made for a friend who knew nothing about fly fishing but who needed
to put together a Christmas present for a family member who lives in
Virginia (so both cold water and warm water patterns were required). I

I'm not sure I
understand how you provide quality flies at such great prices, but I'll take
it, whether I understand it or not. I do Alaska wilderness trips every
year, give presentations to fly clubs and outdoor organizations. So far,
these trips have just been for myself, friends and family, but it looks
like it's going to lead to some sort of guide business, although extremely
limited. I have another profession that pays substantially more (and
is easier) than the guide business. But I love fly fishing, Alaska,
wilderness,wildlife, wilderness photography, so we'll see what profession wins
out. Obviously, I will be needing a lot of Alaska fly patterns, so I
feel fortunate to have found your company. Thank you for providing

You guys are the real deal. I live and fish in
Northwestern Montana for Cutthroat, Rainbows and Browns. I am a dry fly
fisherman and no dropper fly however effective they are. Big cutthroat love
your March Browns as Rainbows love the large stimulators. Your Salmonflies are
outstanding as are your green drakes which, during their hatch, catch the
larger browns. Your prices are perfect and I cannot thank you enough for
keeping them down.

take days to send an email reply and would probably not even consider calling
the customer. I wanted to return the call but your number did not show up on my
phone and I was not near email to late in the day.

I'm very impressed with the fact that you were willing to do whatever it took
to see that I received the flies that I had ordered and that my fishing trip
plans remained in tact. The fact is that I can order similar products, at
similar prices from any number of places. What I believe sets a company apart
is how they treat their customers. The big test is how they react when there is
a problem. I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the way you handled
this situation. The flies look good and hopefully they fish and hold up as good

Just a note to let you know I have told several of my
friends about you and at least one of them has ordered flies from Big Y Fly
Co. As an aside a well known sporting goods/fly fishing company has sent
me coupons in the past for free flies. I've tried them and found them to
be inferior to the Big Y flies. Although I don't get a chance to fish
that often and therefore don't lose many flies, you will always have my business.

which I must say are very nice and reasonable in price . I can't begin to thank
you enough for the Hatch Charts for the Maine rivers . I have lived in Maine my
whole life ( 51 yrs ) and this is my second year fly fishing and I LOVE IT . My

arriving. I have purchased 2 or 3 orders last year and was very pleased with
the quality and how well the flys worked in catching the rainbow trout near us.
Can you believe that only two hours north of Dallas TX, there is a spring fed
river that is lined with rock and bolder bottom in Oklahoma. They stock
rainbows from October to April. It gives us the feel of a mountain river with
pools, falls, ripples and deep runs.
I have let all my fly fishing buddies know about you…and I am sure
some of them have placed orders as well. I will continue to promote your great
service. And, I will send some photos this year when we get started this fall.

Thanks for your quick service. I did not get any pictures of the
cutthroats I caught on Rock Creek on Aug 17 near Phillipsburg MT as I was
fishing by myself. The spruce fly imitations I bought from you worked
great. I fished for about two hours, landed 12 cutts from 10-16 inches and
had that many more on. The real live spuce moths were all over the place and
the fish were eating them up. Your flies held up to the abuse they were
receiving from the trout. I have told several of my fishing companions about
your company and they all ask, in reference to the low price, how well the
flies hold up. I can honestly tell them that those I have used so far hold
up as good as any $2.00 flies I have purchased elsewhere. Terrific price for
quality flies. The order I just placed is the third one and you can be assured
there will be more orders in the future. Maybe I'll have some pictures to go
along with my next fishing tale.
